Well, follow people, (some of my favorite Taylor blogs are itsathugstory, ofabeautifulnight, swiftst, validatemypride, scarsyoumade, captivatingsky, inasilversky, thatjuly9th, indemne, smalltownswift, and rightherehoping) message them saying you like their blog or ask them if they wouldn’t mind checking out your blog (but don’t ask them to follow you back; people usually get annoyed with messages like that) to get yourself out there. A big factor in getting people to like you and your blog is its appearance, and having a nice icon, theme and sidebar image really helps. Try to use a theme that looks sweet and simple, there are usually theme trends with people on here so you can try out the ones they are using (check for the word “theme” on people’s blogs and click on it to find who made it) instead of themes from the theme garden. (Here’s where my theme is from! Just go to tumblr.com/customize-classic and paste the code in the “theme” part.) You can probably frind a download link to photoshop to edit photos for your icon and sidebar image or make your own edits and photosets (To resize things on photoshop go to “Image” on the toolbar on the top, and click “Image Size”, then type in numbers for your width or height dimensions. If you have 3 photos in a row in a photoset, make each photo 160 px wide, and two photos in a row 245 px wide so they look good. Also, after you resize, sharpen your photos by clicking “Filter” then “Sharpen”, or you can download Topaz Clean from the free trial on their website, which is an effect that is pretty popular rn.), and look at people’s tutorials to learn how to do things. If you post any edits, make SURE you make it 500 px in width or it won’t look good on tumblr! Don’t save other people’s edits and try to reblog edits that have the actual creator as the source- stolen edits are a big turn off. Just reblog nice, full size edits and well-made photosets, keep your blog consistent, and learn with time. And most of all, have fun on tumblr! Thank you so much, btw. :’) Hope I helped!
